Rosenberg Orthodontics is pleased to provide lingual braces for our Hartford County patients. Lingual braces are a special type of orthodontic therapy that are placed on the back of the teeth. This strategic procedure makes them almost impossible for other people to notice. Thus, they are a wonderful option if you would like the advantages of conventional metal braces without looking like you are wearing them. If you want to know more about these braces or other straightening treatments, schedule an appointment at one of our many Connecticut locations.

"All 3 of my kids had their braces at Roseburg Orthodontics. Family oriented and awesome staff. The atmosphere is very welcoming. Customer service is the best."- E.C. / Facebook / Dec 23, 2019
"Awesome staff. Well oiled machine."- P.W. / Facebook / Nov 16, 2019
"The staff there is the best ever. I often call them a well oiled machine. They know what they are doing and keep the patients moving through the office efficiently. Recently I had an issue with my insurance and one of the staff members worked with my insurance company until it was resolved. It took hours of her work day but she stayed with it. Not many offices would do that and I am so grateful. I would highly recommend them."- P.W. / Facebook / Nov 16, 2019

An orthodontic treatment, like lingual braces, may help patients who have misaligned, gapped, or crowded teeth or an underbite, overbite, or crossbite to acquire straighter teeth. Unlike traditional braces, lingual braces will be set behind the teeth on the tongue (lingual) side. Though the brackets are made from stainless steel, lingual braces are hard for other people to notice. So they are an excellent choice for adults, particularly those who are active in sports.
What to Expect
The procedure for lingual braces is slightly different compared to conventional braces because the braces are behind the teeth rather than the front side. After impressions are completed, metal mounts will be specially ordered. This method takes about 1 – 2 weeks. You will then come back to Rosenberg Orthodontics to get your mounts and wires applied. This procedure usually requires a few hours to finish.
Once you receive lingual braces, you need to pay careful attention to your dental hygiene routine. Flossing, brushing, and using mouthwash are important so that food does not get trapped in the brackets. Routine follow-ups should also be scheduled at Rosenberg Orthodontics to make sure your teeth are adjusting at the right speed and your lingual braces are fitting properly. You might experience some discomfort when the braces are applied; however, in time, your mouth will adapt. Lingual braces are usually used for 18 – 36 months for ideal outcomes. However, the treatment time can vary, depending on your individual objectives and requirements.
During your consultation, we will talk about price quotes for lingual braces, as well as alternative orthodontic methods in your consultation. We will talk to you about payments we take and how to locate medical financing. If you are using dental insurance, we will contact your provider to verify your coverage and determine your out-of-pocket expenses.
Plan Your Procedure
If you are hoping to straighten and enhance your teeth, but you do not want to have the look of conventional braces, then lingual braces may be a fantastic choice for you. Lingual braces are placed behind the teeth for limited visibility. Rosenberg Orthodontics encourages you to schedule an appointment at one of our offices in Hartford County to find out more information on lingual braces and other teeth-straightening treatments.
